🦚 How Your Voice Can Silence Imposter Syndrome 🦚

August 2025

Hello Reader!

If you’ve ever walked into a meeting thinking, “Any minute now, they’ll figure out I don’t belong here,” you’re in good company. About 80% of people have felt the same way.

That feeling has a name: Imposter Syndrome.

And while there’s a lot of advice out there (mindset shifts, affirmations, power poses, etc.), I want to offer something a little different: using your voice.

Why? Because your voice is physical.

It’s not just an idea in your head — it’s something your whole body creates.

And when you intentionally use your voice, you tap into your nervous system, literally calming your body while projecting the presence you want others to feel from you.

That’s what my latest video is all about: how to combat Imposter Syndrome through the way you speak.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Define how you want to be seen and heard – Identify the qualities you want people to associate with you and shape your vocal delivery to match.

  • Pinpoint the vocal traits that express that image – From richer resonance to intentional silence, discover how these choices change perception.

  • Practice and implement with purpose – Build vocal consistency through physical exercises, then integrate changes one step at a time for lasting impact.

By the end, you’ll have a clear process for aligning your voice with your professional presence.

So you can walk into any room as your full, authentic self.

Next month, I’ll build on this topic and get into the details of using your voice to build Authority.

If you’ve ever been talked over in meetings, second-guessed by colleagues, or struggled to manage a team that doesn’t take direction, this will be the month for you!

In the meantime, follow Peacock Voices on LinkedIn, Instagram, or YouTube for more strategies to help you lead with your voice.
